Korea Medical Institute (KMI) announced on October 8 that a government training delegation from El Salvador, including the Director of the Ministry of Health, visited KMI's Medical Check-up Center to experience the 'K-Medical Check-up' system.

This training is part of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Global Training Program, set to be conducted over three years (2024-2026) as a part of the 'El Salvador Healthcare Professionals Digital Transformation Capacity Building Project.' A total of 18 officials from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Welfare participated, marking the first year of the program.

Led by Mr. Rodrigo Arnoldo, Director of the Information and Communication Technology Department at the Ministry of Health, and Ms. Roxana Margarita, Director of the General Affairs Department, the delegation visited KMI's Gangnam Medical Check-up Center. They toured the center's excellent facilities and explored various programs, including national and comprehensive medical check-ups, as well as specialized medical check-up programs and systems.

Kwang Bae Lee, the Chief Strategy Officer at KMI, stated, "We will continue to strive to share and promote the specialized medical check-up expertise and operational know-how that KMI has built over the years through various international exchanges and cooperation efforts."

Founded in 1985, KMI operates medical check-up centers across eight regions in the Republic of Korea, including three in Seoul (Gwanghwamun, Yeouido, and Gangnam) and five in provincial cities (Suwon, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju, and Jeju). Committed to fostering early detection and prevention of diseases and enhancing public health, KMI also actively engages in various social contribution projects.
