Myongji Hospital has recently opened the ‘Intervention Center’ to achieve the advancement of angiography.

The Center has five angiography systems, including two dedicated to the cardiovascular system, another two for the abdominal blood vessels and lower limbs, and one for the brain vessels. With these systems in place, Myongji Hospital can further reinforce its specialty in the examination and treatment of heart, brain, and abdominal disease as well as improve the accuracy in diagnosing vascular diseases.

In particular, the Center has introduced the Siemens Artis zee ceiling-mounted system, a high-resolution CBCT angiography equipment, that can implement four times the resolution of the existing one using very low doses and show tiny lesions that cannot be easily found with ordinary equipment.

Besides, the equipment is expected to improve patients’ convenience and secure the golden time for a procedure with its Dyna CT function that can implement the images of soft tissues and find tiny lesions that cannot be distinguished with the existing equipment.

“The opening of the Intervention Center equipped with cutting-edge systems and facilities will enable us to perform more specialized and high-quality tests and interventional procedures on vascular diseases,” said Kim Hyun-boem , the head of the Intervention Center.
